Answer: (A) Born in Dacca, Pradosh DasGupta graduated from Calcutta University in 1932. He took up sculpture in the same year and received his first training in the subject under two distinguished teachers, Mr H. Roy Choudhary and Mr D. P. Roy Choudhary at Lucknow and Madras. He had the distinction of being awarded the Guru Prasanna Ghose Travelling Scholarship by Calcutta University.
